The Act does not list the documents an applicant must submit. It says applications are made “in such form and manner as may be prescribed” (Sections 5(1) and 6(1)). The form and any attachments are therefore set by the rules under the Act.
What the Act requires to be shown
- That the applicant is a woman aged 18 or above (Section 3).
- That she resides in the Village Panchayat or Nagar Panchayat area (Sections 5(1) and 6(1)).
- That she carries out at least one qualifying farming activity. The Act does not say what evidence is accepted for this. The Gram Sabha or Nagar Panchayat decides on it (Sections 5(3) and 6(3)).
What the sources do not confirm
The Act text and the information booklet do not confirm a list of identity, residence or farming documents. This website does not list documents that the sources do not confirm. Verify the current requirement on the official portal, or ask the Designated Officer, before you apply.
